Statement:

Jim Ever is an interdisciplinary artist based in Sheffield whose practice navigates the boundaries of memory, ecology, and infrastructure. With an approach that is frequently site-responsive or durational, he produces work and installations that employ sculpture, image-making, and sound, often simultaneously. Much of his recent work involves an experimental or expanded approach to found material, the photographic darkroom, and soundscapes, which act as tools to explore, expand on, and create new dialogue between memory, perception, and place.
