‘Primordial Filth’ was a collaborative group exhibition by Mia Colman, Jim Ever, Jack Mackness, and Ava Ord, formed during a two-week residency as part of Bloc Projects Pathways 2026 Artist Development Programme.

Amongst urban and ecological environments, the show explored themes of sedimentary and industrial decay, material traces, and geological time.

My work in this show primarily draws from living archives, observing and responding to the eroding coastal landscapes of Spurn in East Yorkshire and the Seven Sisters in East Sussex.
