'Help Needed to Redo Time (to Morning)', is an exploration of dementia, decline, and loss through the use of obsolete, dysfunctional technology and media, mirroring the failing functions of the human brain. The work comprises a sound piece centred around worn cassettes containing spoken/sung words and piano recorded by my Grandmother, who later developed Alzheimer's disease, weaved into tape loops, field recordings, and various other sonic experiments. The sound is amplified through transducers bolted to an upright piano soundboard, accompanied by low-resolution camcorder footage of abstracted environments, and photocopier experimentation utilising source material from a family photo album.
